The exciting game of  Mini Baccarat (pronounced: MINI - BA-CA-RAH) is similar to the game known as "Chemin de Fer" in some countries, however, it is played on a much smaller table with the rules being much the same.

It is played with eight complete decks of cards. The cards are shuffled by the dealer  and then reshuffled and placed in a special box called the "shoe." The game is played by set rules outlined below. There is no option in the game on drawing or standing. In each hand,  the cards are dealt out for everyone to see.

The object of the game is to come as close to the number nine as possible. Face cards and tens, or any combination of cards totaling ten, count as nothing. The ace is counted as one, the deuce is two, etc. Players have only three options in the game, whether to play the "Banker's hand" or the "Player's hand". The words "bank" and "players" are used as terminology for the game. In MiniBac, players can place their bets on spots on the table marked "Player", "Banker", and/or "Tie".

The cards are taken from the "shoe" by the dealer. Two cards referred to as "the player's hand," are extended to the player's side, and two cards are dealt to the dealer's side. The totals are added up, and an additional card may be drawn for either player or  banker.  The hand closest to 9, wins. If both hands totals the same number, it is a tie and if you have a bet placed on the table, you win.

MiniBac, as in regular Baccarat, is a game of trends.  You will often see players marking on a sheet of paper the results of each hand. They do that to help them with the strategies they use to place their bets.

Player

If the first two cards of the Player's hand have a total of:

1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 10

Player Draws a card.

6 - 7

Player Stands.

8 - 9

Natural - Player Stands. - Banker can't draw.
